Whatever the vine grew over usually survives underneath, though wood posts and fence wire that sat wet inside the mat for years can already be rusted or rotted by the time we clear it. Clearing around a fence or shed can expose existing damage and may carry a risk of further damage. Identify structures and fencing before work; removal does not include restoring wood or wire already damaged by the plant. On the walk-through we tell you what the mat was hiding, including anything that looks compromised, so you know what you are dealing with before any repair decisions.
